Somatic Healing

Somatic Depth Psychotherapy helps shift unconscious patterns and bodily imprints that shape relationships. Working through body, emotion, and psyche, it supports deep healing—not by fixing symptoms, but by fostering a more conscious, embodied relationship with yourself. This is slow, transformative, and profoundly human.

About

A New Freedom

Somatic Depth Psychotherapy addresses both conscious and unconscious psychological issues by working with the body’s innate intelligence—its sensations, movements, postures, and patterns—as a living map of your inner world. Just as a sherpa guides a hiker through treacherous terrain, this therapy helps you navigate the terrain of your psyche, where experiences, especially those that are unprocessed or traumatic, are not only held in memory but embedded in the tissues, muscles, and nervous system. While the mind might forget or rationalize, the body remembers. Your body's tension, breath, movement, and stillness become gateways to inner truths that the thinking mind might avoid or suppress. As the therapist (or "sherpa"), I help you tune in to these signals. We may explore what a clenched jaw is trying to hold back, or what a collapsed posture is silently saying. Through this embodied awareness, repressed emotions, early relational wounds, or internalized beliefs can surface gently and be reprocessed safely. By attending to the body as a source of wisdom—not just a vessel—we deepen insight, restore regulation, and support healing that isn’t just intellectual but felt in your bones, breath, and being. Somatic Depth Psychotherapy improves relationships by helping you access and shift the unconscious patterns and bodily imprints that shape the way you connect with others—often in ways you aren’t even aware of. This approach works at the level of the body, emotions, and psyche, where relational wounds are stored and replayed, often without words. Ultimately, Somatic Depth Psychotherapy supports transformation—not simply by "fixing problems" or alleviating surface symptoms, but by inviting you into a more conscious and embodied relationship with yourself. This is not quick-fix work. It is slow, deep, and profoundly human. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Certified Peer Specialist.
